Caitlin Wees (they/she) is a facilitator, director, and educator with a passion for integrated arts education that allows students agency and opportunity to critically engage with their world. Prior to joining Marquis Studios they served as Associate Artistic Producer of The One-Minute Play Festival, curating and facilitating large-scale, community-based new play festivals across the country. As a teaching artist they have worked with New York City Children’s Theater, Amas Musicals, and Ping Chong & Co., teaching students in NYC schools and family shelters. They hold a B.M. in Vocal Performance from Oklahoma City University (where they had the joy of studying with the incomparable Florence Birdwell), and an M.A. in Applied Theater from CUNY. In their spare time Wees enjoys hand embroidering and spending time with their partner, cat, and dog. They are thrilled to be joining the Marquis Studios team, and to continue to bring quality arts education to New York City students.
